Parents started protecting their children too much.

Well… this is the problem.

Somewhere along the way, parenting changed.

Parents started protecting their children too much.

Not just from danger…

But from truth.

There was a time when kids learned how to handle life early.

They joined scouts.

They learned first aid.

They understood responsibility, survival, and what the real world looked like.

They weren’t shielded from everything.

They were prepared for it.

But today…

Things feel different.

Parents are tired.

Stressed.

Trying to survive in a world that’s more expensive, more complicated, and more uncertain than ever before.

And that’s understandable.

But in trying to protect their children…

Many have gone too far.

Instead of preparing them for reality…

They soften it.

Hide it.

Delay it.

They try to guard them from lies, from fear, from confusion—

From things even adults struggle to understand.

But the truth is…

The world hasn’t become simpler.

It’s become louder.

There are opinions everywhere.

Information everywhere.

Fear everywhere.

And now…

No one really knows what’s true and what’s false anymore.

Children grow up in this noise.

But without the tools to navigate it.

And that’s where the real problem begins.

Because protection without preparation…

Isn’t protection at all.

It’s delay.

And one day…

Reality still comes.

The difference is…

Now they’re not ready.

Maybe the answer isn’t to expose children to everything too early.

But it’s also not to hide everything from them.

Maybe the answer is balance.

Teach them how to think.

How to question.

How to stand on their own.

Give them truth…

In a way they can understand.

Because one day…

They won’t need protection anymore.

They’ll need strength.

And that strength doesn’t come from being shielded.

It comes from being prepared.
