class=\"text-description\">\n<p data-marker-percentage=\"25\">Major cable networks reportedly declined the White House\u2019s request to display slides and graphics on screen alongside President Donald Trump\u2019s primetime speech.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>Trump&#8217; communications team supplied a set of slides for the big news networks to run alongside the presiden&#8217;t address as he desperately tried to convince Americans that the econmy is in good shape on Wednesday night, sources told CNN.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>However, CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC all refused to display the slides of bar charts and line graphs on topics such as food prices and wages because the material did not clearly cite the sources of the information.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>Much to no one&#8217;s surprise, MAGA favorite AKA Fox News featured the government-approved slides and graphics, with the network\u2019s primetime host Sean Hannity also using them on his show.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p data-marker-percentage=\"50\">Despite not wanting to display the charts, several major news networks still helped the president by opting to air his speech live.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"photo finale of Survivor to make room for the president rant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>At one point, one of the slides shown on Fox News\u2014simply labeled \u201cWhite House graphic\u201d directly contradicted a misleading boast Trump made during his speech.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>The 79-year-old president claimed, \u201cGasoline is now under $2.50 a gallon in much of the country, and in some states it just hit $1.99 a gallon.\u201d However, the graph Fox News displayed alongside Trump showed the national average gas price at just over $3
