Little comments here and there.<\/p>\n

The kind of thing people say siblings do.<\/p>\n

But over time\u2026<\/p>\n

it didn\u2019t feel like jokes anymore.<\/p>\n

It felt constant.<\/p>\n

No matter what I did\u2026<\/p>\n

they had something to say.<\/p>\n

If I got something wrong, they laughed.<\/p>\n

If I made a mistake, they pointed it out.<\/p>\n

If I tried to explain myself, they talked over me.<\/p>\n

And even when I got something right\u2026<\/p>\n

they didn\u2019t let me have it.<\/p>\n

They\u2019d get annoyed.<\/p>\n

Roll their eyes.<\/p>\n

Say something rude just to bring me back down.<\/p>\n

The worst part?<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t just happen when we\u2019re alone.<\/p>\n

It happens in front of my parents.<\/p>\n

they laugh.<\/p>\n

Every time I hear them laugh\u2026<\/p>\n

something inside me sinks.<\/p>\n

Not harmless.<\/p>\n

The one everyone can joke about.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s the part that hurts the most.<\/p>\n

Not just what they say.<\/p>\n

But that no one stops it.<\/p>\n

the more they thought it was okay.<\/p>\n

Not just outside my home.<\/p>\n
